Dr. Seema Darode's Child and Family Guidance Centre is a full fledge Adolescence Child and Family Psychology Centre addressing academic, behavioural and emotional problems for nearly Three decades. The Child and Family Guidance Centre has a separate unit for adult problems where problems of behaviour, relationship, marriage, pre-marriage advice are taken care of.
We believe that emotional fitness is the first step to self-actualization. An emotionally healthy person feels good about himself and spreads this goodness around him. To achieve this goal we combine contemporary scientific and emotional health care therapies with traditional Indian integrative mind philosophies for holistic solutions.
Counselling is not giving advice or giving readymade solutions but to help the client to help himself/herself to solve his/her own problem. It is a long term process which gives proper ventilation through active listening.
At Dr. Seema Darode's Child and Family Guidance Centre, we use a variety of therapeutic techniques custom designed to address your child's particular needs. Talk or Play Therapy may be used to help your child express his/her feelings. Behaviour Modification is used when improvement in your child's co-operation and behaviour is needed. Family therapy may be recommended when there are excessive conflicts at home. Parent coaching may be utilized to fine tune parent's skills to better match your child's personality. Group therapy is used when a common problem is shared by a group of children/ youngsters where group interactions lead to positive attitudinal change. Our goal is to help your child function at his / her best at home, in school and socially. Our qualified Counsellors and Doctors are always pleased to help students, parents, and adults in making their life more enjoyable and beautiful.

Many parents come to the Child and Family Guidance Centre with non-acceptance of their child's problems. While all children experience difficulties as they grow up, those whose troubles are more than the troubles of other children around them, may be in need of help. Many problems are transient and require only short-term help.
